Candidate Chris Christie Would Stop Marijuana Legalization

Posted on

The United States presidential election is just a little over a year away and campaigns are well underway.

Among the hot topics for this election? You guessed it– cannabis policy. And it doesn’t take much insight to guess where each party stands on the matter.

However, Republican candidate Rand Paul is an exception to this rule, with a notably more liberal stance on marijuana than expected with his party backing.

Chris Christie, the current Governor of New Jersey, is on the opposite end of the spectrum from Paul, fitting the bill of the stereotypical, marijuana-hating Republican candidate.

Listen to Christie’s views on federal and state cannabis policy, and his plans to put an end to the current marijuana legalization catching fire in the United States.

Clearly, this election will mean enormous things for the future of the cannabis industry, which is already sufficiently established with both medical and recreational markets.

Well, we know where our vote’s not going!
